Elastic straps?
I’m with the other reviewer who said what’s with the elastic thin straps that wrap around the bag. They are held on by one of those plastic things that you find between new socks or that hold price tags on stuff. What are the straps for??Very confusing

A great bag
We’re using this for middle school volleyball. My kid has to wear a uniform so after school she can change, put her uniform and shoes in this bag then change into volleyball attire plus snacks and a volleyball in the bag with plenty of room. Highly recommended

feels super cheap and it doesn’t seem it will last too much. the fabric is super thin and gives the impression that it will rupture if you fill the bag up. for small quick trips this works but I was a bit let down by the product quality given it’s made by Adidas and I generally love their products.

Very thin canvas and flimsy padding/frame
My daughter needed a gym bag to transport her Taekwondo sparring gear and fell in love with the appearance of the Adidas Defender Medium duffel. The Adidas Defender bag is stylish and affordable, and from a purely cosmetic perspective the bag is nice. However, from a functional, utilitarian perspective, not so much. The Adidas bag is sufficient for my daughter’s purpose, as her sparring gear is light-weight, and fortunately the chest-protector and head-gear acts as a rigid frame within the gym bag to help the bag to hold it’s shape. Without the rigid nature of her protection gear – the bag would likely collapse and fold up in the middle (while slung using the shoulder straps), with even the lightest of loads. The canvas is very thin and the bottom support “padding” is equally thin and lacking. I’ll give the bag 4 stars, as it was affordable and it does meet our specific need…but for any other purpose, I would’ve likely sent it back.

Great duffel
This duffel bag seems very well made. The zippers are the smoothest operating I’ve ever used, no joke. I have this bag in small, medium, and large. The medium is the most practical for a few day trip. The small will hold a pair of jeans, shorts, two shirts, shoes, and dop kit, enough for an overnight, with no room to spare. The medium can easily hold twice the clothes. The large easily holds a weeks worth of clothes. They can all nest inside another for storage.

Smaller than I thought it would be
It seems like a well-made duffle. Good fabric, lots (4) of ditty pockets. All fine. But it is not very large. Maybe a weekender size. But if you have anything bulky you’ll quickly run out of space.

It’s a pretty good gym bag size is great. Zippers are good design is a little different. I had a previous under armor version that seem to be a tad bit better even with the design of the shoe storage compartment. That’s why I will give Adidas four out of five stars.

The medium is perfect.
People were complaining about the small not fitting guy shoes so I got the medium. Those are size 12 and they fit just fine. I don’t know if Amazon will keep my pics next to each other but there’s one pic of it half zipped up and the other is of it fully zipped. I bet you could fit 14s in there. Probably supposed to store the shoes with the foot hole facing out of those vent holes. (Air out yer stanky swamp foot) They hid the shoulder strap in the shoe compartment also, at first I thought they forgot it. The shoulder strap only adjusts on one side. Might not be a problem for some people, but the way I like to wear it it brings the plastic piece way too close to the pad on the strap so it rubs against my arm or shoulder. I also don’t know what the deal is with those stretchy straps that come attached like it’s a price tag. But they’re kind of functional for wrapping around the whole bag on each side to keep things in place. (maybe they’re for the $ when you put 2mil in there to make your drops. I bet it will hold 44lbs.) I’m keeping them on there for now. It also has another small pocket inside to throw your phone and keys or whatever in. Besides the gym Great weekend bag for like Vegas, or if you’re going somewhere tropical or all inclusive for a couple weeks and you don’t need to bring a bunch of nice clothes, stuff this full of swimsuits and tank tops, pair of Keens gtg.

My son got this bag to carry his foot all gear to practice this summer. It fit his size 15 slides in the “shoe side pocket”, but his cleats did not fit and able to be zipped in that pocket so he had to put the cleats in thr main compartment. Plenty of room for a change of clothes and toiletries. Has a small pocket that fits his phone to keep it easily accessible. Overall, very pleased with this purchased. Will come in very handy for wrestling and those size 15 wrestling shoes should fit in the shoe pocket.

Adidas is very generous in sizing their bags
I love the amount of space Adidas gives their bags. I had returned 3 previous bags (not Adidas) that were either too small or way too big. This was my 4th bag and although I think I could have made due with the smaller size, I decided to keep the medium just in case the small was too small. This is a well made “gym” bag that I will put to good use. I like the Kelly green color, pricing is good, it looks durable and has several pockets. The shoe pocket on the side allows shoes to be vertical instead of horizontal which saves on interior space. Nice padded, adjustable shoulder strap in addition to handle straps.

I think I could fit a body in there if I needed to
I needed a hospital bag and was worried that this medium size would be too small. So far we’ve been able to fit: my bathrobe and birthing gown, sweatpants, a pack of depends, a box of protein bars, two large bags of trail mix, a bag of gummy candies, a bar of chocolate, a tube of peanut butter, two large gatorades, baby’s take home outfit, a change of clothes for my husband, a small speaker for music, a bag of toiletries, a bag of nursing pads, a peri bottle, and all the things that normally go in my purse. And we somehow still have room for more XD

The only thing that would make a gym bag more perfect if you don’t have a gym locker? Would be a shoe compartment. Kid’s Travel Bag
Got this for my preteen so she can start packing her own bag. So far so good. It’s a nice bag, nice size, seems very well made. So far hasn’t had any issues or any tares. It’s not an every day bag for us so I would expect it to hold up better than someone who uses it for the gym every single day. Will update if it ends up failing for some reason.

Perfect for the week
Bought this for camping festivals. All my fits can go in here along with any clothes for the camp and a pair of shoes. I also brought this to forest and when the rain storm collapsed out tent and everything got soaked the rubber bottom kept all my clothes dry.

A Really Big Bag!
It’s a nice bag. I don’t know how durable it is yet because we just got it, but it looks good. I got the medium bag because it had the pad on the strap whereas the small did not. The medium is actually a little larger than I wanted (it’s actually quite large) but, since my daughter is planning on playing volleyball, she’ll have plenty of room to keep an actual ball in there in addition to all of her belongings if she wants.
